Windows 95/98/ME Dial-up Phone Number Change

1. Double-click on “My Computer.”

2. Double-click on “Dial-Up Networking.”

3. In Dial-Up Networking you should be able to find an icon which refers to your The Computer Works connection. This is probably called “tcworks.com” or “The Computer Works” but could also be “My Connection” or anything else that you chose when you configured your computer. Click this icon with your right mouse button, and select “Properties” from the drop-down list. The window will look like one of the following:

   Windows 95
   
   Windows 98
   
   Windows ME
   

4. One of the settings that you will see in this window indicates the phone number which your modem uses to connect to TCWorks.  Click here for a list of dialup numbers.

5. Click OK.  You are now ready to connect to the new phone number.
